QC Manager

About the role

As Joblogic continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and experienced QC Manager to join our team in Vietnam, helping drive our product development and significantly impact our business success.   

As the QC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our software products. You will lead the QC team (both Manual and Automation) and QA member, driving best practices and ensuring that our testing processes align with our commitment to delivering exceptional solutions to our customers. 

In addition, to succeed in this role, you’re expected to have an in-depth understanding of customers and their business, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of Joblogic products. 

What Your Main Focus Will Be:  

  • Partner with Product and Data teams to define clear, measurable Product Success Metrics (e.g., stability, performance, customer satisfaction, retention, etc.).
  • Set up dashboards and KPIs to monitor product health and quality performance.
  • Translate quality insights into actionable recommendations for product improvement.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and UX to ensure new features meet functional and quality expectations before release.
  • Participate in design reviews and sprint planning to integrate QC early into development cycles (“Shift Left” approach).
  • Support post-release validation and customer feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Define and drive the quality control strategy and vision to ensure best-in-class product quality that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • Leverage your in-depth understanding of customer needs and their businesses, along with knowledge of Joblogic products to inform quality initiatives and drive improvements.
  • Take proactive measures to assess cybersecurity, safeguarding systems, ensuring data integrity, and adhering to industry compliance.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, testing processes, and release readiness criteria.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to ensure that quality objectives align with business and customer success metrics.
  • Define key QA metrics and report on quality indicators to provide insights into product quality.
  • Oversee the overall efficiency and performance of the QC/QA team.
  • Define and implement metrics to measure employee output and performance.
  • Train and guide the QC team on quality control processes and best practice, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Set the strategic vision for AI/ML applications in testing, ensuring alignment with quality assurance goals.
  • Analyze quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-driven testing efforts.

What You Bring: 

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven ability to manage QC/QA teams, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship.
  • Strong manual and automated testing background for both web and mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong background in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working with tools like Jira, Asana, TestRail, or similar.
  • In addition to standard product quality assurance, knowledge/or experience with cybersecurity is a critical component of this role.
  • Having a product mindset focused on customer value and business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
  • Strong capability in measuring employee output and performance, with a data-driven mindset to support product development, reporting, analysis, and team performance presentations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, combined with effective R&D capabilities and critical thinking abilities.
  • Be capable of defining comprehensive and effective processes to ensure a smooth development workflow and maintain high-quality deliverables.

Nice to have points 

  • Familiarity with design patterns as POM
  • Knowledge of security testing, non-relational databases (MongoDB), and Playwright.
  • Knowledge and desire of using AI in QA/QC
  • Experience in defining and maintaining QA metrics (KPIs).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX testing practices and accessibility standards.
