Head of BI Reporting

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded BI leader to take full ownership of our end-to-end reporting and data platform and elevate our Power BI environment to best-in-class standards. This role is vital within our fast-growing, ensuring our reporting, infrastructure and warehousing, and reporting layers are robust, scalable, and built to support high-quality decision-making.

What your main focus will be

  • Evolve and optimise the existing Power BI environment, introducing best practices in data modelling, DAX standards, report design, performance optimisation, and governance
  • Own the end-to-end data platform, covering data engineering pipelines, data warehousing, and reporting layers to support a fast-scaling SaaS business.
  • Lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of Azure-based data infrastructure (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse / Data Lake) to enable reliable and near real-time analytics.
  • Oversee data warehousing architecture, including data modelling, transformation layers, and performance optimization for analytical workloads.
  • Establish and enforce robust data quality, validation, and QC frameworks across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to refine metric definitions and ensure reporting supports commercial decision-making.
  • Manage, motivate and elevate a team of BI Developers, Data Analysts and QC Analysts
  • Support AI and advanced analytics readiness by ensuring clean, well-structured, and feature-ready datasets.

What you bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in BI, Data Engineering or Data Warehousing, ideally within a SaaS business.
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse / Data Lake).
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modelling and warehouse architecture design.
  • Proven experience in working with/implementing BI tools (Power BI preferred but also Tableau, Looker, Dash etc and working with CRM systems such as Hubspot (Ideally) or Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing robust data quality, validation, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working with Finance data is preferred, such as revenue contracts, SaaS metrics and multiple entitiy reporting across different countries and currencies.

Nice-to-have points

  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and preparing data architectures for Machine Learning (ML) and AI-driven insights.
  • Familiarity with modern data transformation tools such as dbt (data build tool) or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA) as they relate to data warehousing and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of complex SaaS metrics like Net Revenue Retention (NRR), LTV/CAC ratios, and churn cohort analysis.
