Service and maintenance contractors all face the same challenges when it comes to managing and communicating with their field team. How is it possible to get more jobs done per day whilst ensuring quality and compliance? In a manual system engineers might come into the office to collect job sheets and drop off paperwork.
This is really inefficient and results in hours of non-productive time each week. If companies communicate with their engineers via SMS or email this creates another problem. Whilst engineers don’t come into the office each day there is a delay in waiting for their job sheets to come back. This creates a delay in invoicing jobs, which in turn impacts on cash flow. Joblogic Mobile solves these problems by creating a two-way robust connection between your back office and field engineers.
Deploying Jobs to Engineers
Once a job is logged in Joblogic it's really easy to select the engineer and deploy it to their Mobile Engineer Software. The engineer receives the job on their tablet or smartphone within seconds. The App alerts the engineer to the new job using a notification. The engineer can then view all of the job information, including customer address, contact information and access instructions for the site. If there are site assets they are also displayed along with the job description, target appointment date/time and job notes.
The engineer can view job attachments such as photos and drawings too. If they click on the postcode for the job, the App launches Google Maps which they can use as a SAT NAV tool. Engineers can access the full history of the site showing all jobs previously carried out. This is a great tool for fault diagnosis. Joblogic Mobile empowers your engineers by giving them all of the information that they need to get the job done.
Using Joblogic Mobile in the Field
Once the job is received on the device the engineer can keep the office up to date with each status change. Your office will know when the engineer accepts a job, when they start travelling to site and when they arrive. As soon as the job is complete they'll also get notified so that they can get on with invoicing.
Engineers can enter notes, parts, timesheets and expenses. They can capture photos and signatures. All of this data is returned to the office in real time. The Joblogic Mobile App uses GPS tracking so we can show your schedulers the live location of each engineer. This is really useful for checking timesheets and allocating the best person to a job based on location and skill. Lots of our customers have found that they can pay for Joblogic Mobile by saving on the costs of vehicle tracking.
In addition to collecting job information the Mobile App is also a really useful compliance tool. We can make sure that engineers complete the necessary workflows to keep your company compliant and make sure that it meets its obligations for both health and safety and customer service. For example, we can set it up so that the App forces your engineer to complete a risk assessment as soon as they arrive on site.
Some companies need their engineers to complete a vehicle checklist each day. Perhaps you'd like your customer to complete a satisfaction survey on job completion. Typically you'll have industry standard forms that you require your engineers to complete. We've got a whole library of these available for you to use or we can create bespoke mobile forms for you.
