The story in brief

Korellis Systems Control is a Hammond, Indiana-based union mechanical contractor, providing professional, cost-effective control systems and commercial HVAC solutions. Since 1985, the business has built a strong reputation for quick response, professionalism and reliable service, supporting school districts, churches and other commercial buildings in and around Chicagoland.

As a specialist mechanical contractor managing work across multiple field staff and customer sites, Korellis Systems Control needed a simpler, more connected way to stay involved in the day-to-day management of its mechanics and field teams. Having previously used desktop-based job management software, the business wanted a web-based system that could improve visibility, simplify scheduling and make administration easier.

By implementing Joblogic’s HVAC software in January 2018, Korellis Systems Control was able to streamline the way jobs were logged, scheduled and managed from the office through to the field. With Joblogic, the team can manage mechanics more effectively, capture time, materials, parts and labour information, and carry job details through to invoicing more efficiently, helping the business improve productivity, workflow and cash flow.

Challenge & Opportunity

Challenge

Korellis Systems Control needed to modernise the way jobs, field teams and financial processes were managed across the business.

They needed a more efficient way to stay involved in the day-to-day management of its mechanics and field teams

Their previous desktop-based system limited accessibility and made it harder to manage work flexibly across the business.

Scheduling and deploying jobs to the right mechanics was time-consuming and needed to be more organised.

Capturing time, materials, parts and labour for each job created extra administration and slowed down invoicing

Slower invoicing processes had the potential to delay payments and affect cash flow.

Opportunity

By moving to Joblogic, Korellis Systems Control could bring greater structure, visibility and efficiency to its HVAC service operations.

A centralised, web-based system offered the opportunity to improve visibility across field operations and give the team greater control over daily job management.

Moving to a cloud-based platform created the opportunity to access job information more easily, helping office staff manage work from one connected system.

Smarter scheduling created the opportunity to assign jobs more efficiently, improve response times and support better use of available resources.

Connecting job costing with invoicing created the opportunity to reduce manual admin, speed up billing and improve accuracy across the process.

Faster, more streamlined invoicing created the opportunity to improve cash flow by reducing delays between job completion and payment.
