The story in brief

Wall-Lag Ltd is a Wales-based plumbing and heating company with a long-standing reputation for delivering reliable domestic and commercial services. Founded in 1973, the business has built decades of experience across core areas such as boiler installations, loft insulation, and heating systems, establishing itself as a trusted provider in its region. In recent years, Wall-Lag has adapted to changing industry demands by expanding into renewable technologies, including air source heating, reflecting a broader shift toward energy efficiency and sustainability.

As the company has grown, so too has its need for more streamlined and scalable operations. To support this, Wall-Lag introduced Joblogic to modernise its workflows and improve coordination between office staff and field engineers. Currently,

14 out of the company’s 64 employees actively use the platform, with plans to increase adoption as the business continues to digitise its processes and enhance operational efficiency.

01
Their challenge

Wall-Lag had been managing workload through spreadsheets and needed one system that could cover all requirements without adding admin. They also wanted to reduce paperwork issues, including documents being lost or completed incorrectly.

02
How Joblogic helped

Joblogic brought job tracking, mobile working, reporting dashboards and planned maintenance into one platform. Jobs can be deployed to engineers via the mobile app, with instant updates back to the office, and KPI dashboards showing performance in real time.

03
The outcome

Wall-Lag has saved time and resources by allocating work directly to field engineers, reduced paperwork, and increased efficiency, with a reported uplift in the number of jobs completed.

Challenge & Opportunity

Icon (1)
Challenge

Wall-Lag’s spreadsheet-based workload tracking limited visibility and made it harder to manage jobs, paperwork, and performance as the business grew.

Workload managed through spreadsheets

Needed one system that covered all job management requirements

Paperwork could be lost or completed incorrectly

Limited real-time view of job status from start to finish

KPI insight was harder to access quickly for decision-making

Icon
Opportunity

Wall-Lag needed one platform to deploy jobs to engineers, capture updates in real time, reduce paperwork, and use KPI dashboards to stay in control.

Send jobs straight to engineers via mobile

Track job progress live from creation to completion

Keep paperwork digital, legible, and stored centrally

Use dashboards to monitor productivity, profitability, and customer value

Plan preventative maintenance with drag and drop scheduling to avoid missed tasks
