June 2016 News Letter
Read our June 2016 Newsletter and find out what news we have at Joblogic.
Dear Joblogic User,
Thank you for your ongoing support. This is the bit where I read my last newsletter and see if we managed to deliver on the things that we said we would do in 2016. I’m pleased to say that we have. There’s quite a list to go through but please do take the time to read this as there’s some really useful features that you can use to help you grow your business.
We did complete our re-brand and launch our new website. If you haven’t already had chance to check it out please have a look www.joblogic.com. We still want to introduce an industries section that talk in more detail about your particular trade so keep an eye out for that. We’ll also do our best to keep the blog up to date and try and keep that interesting and relevant to you.
We also managed to launch our mobile app for iOS, so companies using iPhones and iPads can now use the app offline without having to worry about having signal. If you’re using the web version of Joblogic Mobile and want to use the app version please give our support team a call for advice before downloading from the App Store.
One recent change we’ve made to mobile is a setting which if enabled allows your engineers to log jobs on the mobile app. This is really useful for out of hours call outs. If you need this feature please let us know.
Engineers can also add site notes and abandon the travel status if they are called to another site whilst on their way to a job.
We’ve continued to improve the Joblogic system with features such as adding parts to the parts library whilst raising a purchase order and allowing for subcontractor purchase orders, but most of our development time has been spent on Weblogic and the new web-based Joblogic system.
Weblogic is essentially a customer portal but we’ve also added a lot of features for your back office staff too. These include the ability to add engineers to jobs and deploy from the portal and a management dashboard showing performance metrics and other useful statistics.
Weblogic now also has the ability for customers to view and download copies of invoices and also approve quotations online. This is designed to make you easier to buy from and encourage your clients to engage more with the portal.
Another big feature is the recent release of GPS tracking. We’ve added two embedded Google Maps into Weblogic (only for your company users to view). The first map shows the Live position of the engineer so that you can see who’s closest to jobs that need a visit. The second map shows you a historical view so that you can see where your engineers have been.
We’ll be adding more and more features to the tracking feature in the next few months.
Please note that this only works for engineers using the Joblogic Mobile App on Android currently. We will be introducing it for iOS as soon as we can.
In terms of the future we’ve invested a lot of development time in the web-based version of Joblogic. This is really important as it’s the system we’ll be moving you to once it’s got enough of the features that you currently use.
So far we’ve developed customers, sites, assets, jobs, quotes and invoicing. The most recent release included the diary/scheduler and GPS tracking.
Next on our hit list is an improved version of our planned maintenance module, purchase orders and stock control. Our target is to get these modules in for the end of the year. We’ll see how we get on.
Once again thank you for supporting us. If you would like to discuss anything with me directly please feel free to reply to this email or give me a call.
